The Contemporary Stage is primarily for local young groups to perform on.
There is a free day-long workshop led by professional teachers of Dance, Drama and Music on the Saturday culminating in an early evening performance by the young people who have taken part in the workshop.
On Friday evening and all day on Sunday various local groups perform on the stage, in previous years these have included Stagecoach Theatre Arts, Junked Up Newt, Glowing Peg, X-Cell, Rosemary Woodwark School of Dance and various other young artistes.
