Being a member of the airfusion crew can involved an almost myriad number of different tasks. Areas of work cover a broad spectrum of skills, not only the obvious areas of technical sound and lighting provision and operation. In fact these areas only cover a small percentage of the number of crew involved with airfusion. Other areas include stage building, scaffolding, cable laying, water pipe sighting, health and safety, festival arts, and many others areas.
If you are interested in getting involved with the airfusion crew in what ever way you wish, one thing that we can guarantee is that you will have fun.
Guidelines for crew camp at airfusion
In the light of greater public awareness of Health and Safety and Child Protection issues, and advisory body?s suggestions and requirements for young people, Platform has devised these guidelines for consideration:

Fencing
Heras fencing (2m) around crew camp with locked vehicle entrance near road and staffed pedestrian entrance to the park.
Identification
Specific wrist band/laminated badge to allow access to the crew camp, with record of who has been issued with identification to include name, address, telephone number and some further verification (e.g. sight of driving licence, well known to senior crew).
Bands/Stall Holders
Camping offered in separate area, not so secure, with disclaimer for any loss or damage.
Age of Campers
Young people 15 years and under, not to stay overnight (or after 11.30pm). 16 & 17 year olds need permission slip from parent/guardian.
Health and Safety
Risk Assessment relating to equipment get in and get out to be prepared e.g. training required, senior crew member responsible, protective equipment/clothing, exclusion areas.
Risk Assessment of crew camp area to be prepared e.g. access, traffic, parking, trip hazards, toilet and washing facilities for 10 day period, lighting, food preparation and storage, washing-up arrangements, bins, table clearing, fire prevention, sharp knives.
Security
24 hour presence during festival week.
